Replay Events confirm retro LAN games at the PC Gamer Weekender
The horror (and sheer joy) of an old fashioned LAN meet is hard to recreate these days – you mostly don’t need to, for one – but that hasn’t stopped Replay Events from bringing its own retro-focused LAN party to the PC Gamer Weekender.
Those looking to relive the glory days of actually being able to look into the eyes of the person beating you repeatedly at a game will be overjoyed to do that once again, with both Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Battlefield 1942 being hooked up for some local area network action.
Beyond the LAN offerings, Replay is also bringing a bunch of standalone retro titles to the Weekender, with Dark Forces, Half-Life, Theme Park, and Rollercoaster Tycoon all available to play for attendees. That’s a brilliant selection of classics, in case you’re wondering.
Replay Events is a UK events team focusing on gaming events and the organisation thereof. With experience around the world and at some of gaming’s biggest events, the Weekender’s LAN party is sure to go down well! You can find out more about the company here.
As well as classic and LAN titles, you’ll also be able to see many more speakers, games and booths all at the PC Gamer Weekender, which is being held February 17-18 at the Olympia, London, in the UK.
